The Old Barn

Built in the 1820s from fieldstones, old-growth trees, and forged iron.
It served farming and housed wildlife for approximately two hundred years.
When it was pulled down, dust from decaying beams flew out
as did a lone bat.

The New Barn

Built in 2020 from concrete, mature trees, and hardware.
It stands ready to serve land and water conservation,
wildlife habitat preservation, and the arts
for the next two hundred years.
Wildlife is moving back in.

Long Live the Barn!
